Project Details:
Total Value: $145 000
Year Completed: 2009
Duration: 6 months
Background:
A variant of an existing landmine vehicle was adapted to serve as an ambulance. An automated system was developed to safely receive injured individuals from outside the vehicle and transfer them into a stable transport position within the interior. The compact armored cabin was designed to accommodate two stretchers.
Description:
The project encompassed conceptual design, detailed design, and manufacturing of two prototypes. The mechanical solution, comprising rails, chain drives, and gearboxes, was integrated with electrical interfaces, sensing, and drive systems, complemented by pneumatic systems. Innovative space-saving concepts were employed to optimize spatial efficiency.
